  1. I think the Mental heath system is structured wrong.

    It is structured like a successfull company or profession, almost mechanical, bureaucracy which is form that is very heard to change and very good at delivering a standard service. The standard service is not successful.

    The right structure is small autonomous organizations with cross-functional teams including physical and biological scientist along with traditional professionals. The model is more like a silicon valley seen, very entrepreneurial, until better treatments are developed.

    They have not even proven some conditions are mental and not physiologic problems. They may not be chemical imbalances or psychological.

  2. I think that there are way too many people with mental illness caught up in our jails and legal system. I think there needs to be greater collaboration between our legal and mental health systems to provide these people with the support they needs rather than locking them up.
